​What type of hunting do you offer?

  • Hog, exotic, varmint, predator, dove, and turkey.


Do I need a Texas hunting license?

  • Yes. Please refer to Texas Parks & Wildlife on animal specifications and regulations for Colorado County, TX at https://tpwd.texas.gov


Do you offer skinning services?

  • Skinning services are available at $100 per hog. 


Is there anything else to do besides hunt?

  • Other services besides hunting include: rifle range, clay pigeon skeet shooting, tannerite shooting, fishing, and side-by-side/UTV rentals are available.


What time do I arrive?

  • Check-in begins at 4pm. Thermal hunts begin at 8pm.
  • Communicate with John Heffley at (979) 733-2181 with your expected arrival time or delays.


What guns can I bring?

  • Rifles, shotguns, and pistols are permitted.
  • Archery hunters must bring their own safety harness and lanyards. 
  • Be aware that the use of a 338 or 50 caliber on the property are prohibited.
  • No tracer rounds on the range. 


How often do your feeders run?

  • Our feeders are run twice a day, and we always keep them refilled and ensure they are consistently refilled. Additionally, we have trail cameras in place to monitor activity effectively. Check out our camera footage on Facebook!


 How many acres does Boar's Nest Hunt offer?

  • Combined across three ranches, there is over 800 acres to access. 
    • 211 acres located at Skull Creek Ranch, with a cabin. 
    • 350 acres at our second property at Gramp's place, with a small cabin. 
    • 260 acres at our third property with three stands, no cabin or electric.
